Work Experience

Anil has a wealth of experience spread over 30 years in building brands that have a deep consumer connect, efficient FMCG distribution systems, and in successfully managing and growing an FMCG business.

He has extensive experience in blue chip MNCs like Britannia and Unilever and in other respected Indian companies like Raymond where he led sales teams at the regional as well as the national level. As the CEO of JK Helene Curtis, a Raymond group company, he has led his team to grow the business three times over a period of six years, improved profitability, substantially, and created and developed respected brands like Park Avenue in the Indian male grooming space. During his tenure the company set in place a formal innovation process with the idea of launching new products and improving gross margins. This involved setting up a small R&D centre and reimagining the marketing- R&D interface. Collaborative development was a thought he was implementing.

He also has experience in setting up distribution systems for different sectors – be it FMCG or the apparel / textile industry. In JK Helene Curtis he supervised the creation of a multi-channel distribution system, including an e-commerce channel, with a field force of 600 covering over 2.5 lakh outlets nationally. The distribution structures that he and his team designed have been built to take advantage of trends. For example, he saw the trend in the potential of digital and e-commerce early on in 2010and went on to create a digital presence for Park Avenue (which won awards) and an early stage e-commerce channel.

Anil understands that people are the backbone of any organization and he is passionate about people development. His interest in leadership development and the HR process has seen him being part of the Executive Development Council for the Raymond group and a committee member of the Raymond Excellence Awards. Coaching was a natural extension of his keen interest in leadership development. He developed his coaching skills by training with ICF and becoming a certified coach.

Tanuja Baljekar

Professional Experience

Tanuja started her career in Voltas Ltd, and was subsequently associated with the Sagar Plaza Hospitality Group; Indian Seamless Metal Tubes Ltd as General Manager, Corporate HR; and Thermax Ltd as General Manager, Learning & Development. She has 25 years of experience both in a HR generalist role, and during the last several years as a specialist in Learning & Development. She has extensive experience of various areas of Human Resources and in partnering the business from an HR perspective.

She is skilled in the design and roll-out of Development Centres, Development Action Plans, and High Impact leadership Development Programs and was closely associated with the creation and architecture of Leadership Development Processes and Competency Development Programs and has played a leadership role in establishing these effectively.

She is a trained Assessor and Administrator in the management and delivery of Assessment & Development Centres. As a certified consultant on the Workplace Big Five Profile, a psychometric tool used largely in the workplace context, she draws on it for learning and feedback processes towards capability building and leadership development.

Coaching Proficiency

Tanuja has received extensive training as a coach from Results Coaching Systems, as well as Coach U, both being International Coach Training organizations, accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF). She is also currently exploring approaches and perspectives in the Ontological Coaching Model. Tanuja is a member of the ICF and in her practice is guided by its code of ethics and competency framework. She holds the ‘Associate Certified Coach’ credential awarded by the ICF.

She has successfully coached several key executives at the senior management level across functions such as Sales, Marketing & Product Development, Project Management, Start-up Operations. Her coaching engagements have included heads of Finance, Construction, Business development, and Supply Chain amongst others. She has also coached individuals in the education, research, medical, creative arts and consulting space and has had truly rewarding learning experiences in working with small business owners, mostly women entrepreneurs.

Having over 43 years in Education, Mahesh has been a torch bearer for India at the Atlanta Olympics.
